CLEAR joins the California Reinvestment Coalition

The Center for LGBTQ Economic Advancement & Research is pleased to announce that the Board of Directors for the California Reinvestment Coalition has voted to approve CLEAR’s application for membership as a Member of that organization.

The California Reinvestment Coalition builds an inclusive and fair economy that meets the needs of communities of color and low-income communities by ensuring that banks and other corporations invest and conduct business in our communities in a just and equitable manner.

Current priorities for the California Reinvestment Coalition, and its members, include advocating for community-driven solutions to the challenges of immigrant income instability and economic mobility, ending financing for serial-evictor landlords, ending the California courts’ use of private debt collectors, and holding banks accountable to their obligations to meet the needs of their communities under the Community Reinvestment Act.

The Center for LGBTQ Economic Advancement & Research is proud to join in concert with our housing and financial capacity building fellows here in California to advance a more fair & equal economy for all.
